As I lie here tonight for bed, I'm in the city of New Orleans. This is my third trip since the beginning of August. I was about to go to sleep, when my mind turned to my family back in North Mississippi. I wonder what they are doing. Did my children have a good time at church? Did they brush their teeth and get to bed on time? Did they give my wife a difficult time before going to bed? Oh, my wife . . . my wonderful wife. As I lie here thinking of her, I cannot help but think of the things she's sacrificed so I can be here. So please indulge me as I tell you about my wonderful wife and the sacrifices she has made.
First, when Amanda and I got married, I don't think she understood what she was getting into. If you have read my testimony, then you know about my struggle with addiction. Amanda worked dilligently during the day and went to Itawamba Community College, Tupelo campus, at night. She made the money and I spent it. I spent a lot of money on drugs. She sacrificed her money so I could indulge myself. I eventually went to rehab, but Amanda was home by herself trying to take care of TomTom alone.
Second, she, like every other woman before her, sacrificed her curves and youthful figure so we could have children. I'm so thankful for our three children. When I look at them, I'm reminded of the sacrifice she made to have those children. She traded sleep filled nights for sleepless nights with heartburn and going to the bathroom a thousand times. She traded healthy eating for Sonic's chili and cheese tater tots.
Amanda has been such a blessing to me & my family!! Since she’s been at Gaston she has taken an active part in all activities of our church! We love Bro . Thomas , Amanda & their precious children!!( the children are all very personable w/ adults as well as their peers!)♥️
